Photonic Solutions Enewsletter

January 2020

In this issue:

The Synopsys Photonic Solutions team wishes you a happy and successful 2020!

Let us help make your design plans a reality with our Photonic Solutions platform for device simulation (RSoft Photonic Device Tools), system design (Photonic System Tools), circuit design, layout and verification (PIC Design Suite), and schematic vs. layout (ICV).

We are proud to help our customers innovate consumer and industrial communications, sensing, and imaging applications with our enhanced algorithms, new design capabilities, and faster simulations. Thank you for your support!

Our Support Email Address Has Changed

Please note that we have a new, single email address that you can use to get help for all Photonic Solutions tools: photonics_support@synopsys.com. You can direct your questions for the RSoft Photonic Device Tools, Photonic System Tools (OptSim, ModeSYS), and PIC Design Suite (OptoDesigner, OptSim Circuit) to this new address.

Please update your address book to remove the old support addresses (rsoft_support@synopsys.com and/or pic_support@synopsys.com). We look forward to supporting you with our new address: photonics_support@synopsys.com!

New Application Note: PIC Design Suite Transparent Components

Synopsys Photonic Solutions presents a new application note on using our PIC Design Suite to create transparent components.

When designing photonic circuits, you may not always know which technology will be used to fabricate the circuit. It is useful to create a single circuit design that is compatible with multiple foundries to compare performance and costs in different technologies. Synopsys can help you do this with a unique, technology-agnostic library: px-elements. Read the application note.
