Overview

Data converters are at the core of every analog interface to SoCs, which are moving into more advanced processes to take advantage of process scaling. Synopsys’ DesignWare Data Converter IP portfolio, consisting of silicon-proven analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and digital-to-analog converters (DACs), is available in leading foundry processes from 180-nm to 12-nm.

The pre-validated, high-speed, high-performance, compact and low-power data converters enable designers to integrate critical functionality in their SoCs and meet the analog front-end interface requirements, while lowering BOM cost and minimizing integration risks. The 12-bit analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters deliver fast conversion rates up to 750 MSPS and 1 GSPS respectively, and the companion PLL delivers 5 GHz low jitter sampling clock for ADCs and DACs.
