Software Updates and Features

RSoft Photonic Device Tools 2023.03-1 Release

RSoft Photonic Device Tools 2023.03-1 includes the following updates.

MetaOptic Designer:

  • Added a new performance metric to measure MTF; the metric is enabled by defining the symbol save_mtf=1
  • Improved memory handling of GDS generation for large metalenses
  • Provided a direct way to include materials from the RSoft CAD Environment without the need to edit text files or have an RSoft CAD Environment license

Support for high-performance computing:

  • Improved support for job schedulers
  • Updated to FullWAVE FDTD cluster licensing to minimize overhead

TCAD Interface:

  • Added a new CMOS image sensor application note and project to SolvNetPlus that showcases the interface between TCAD Sentaurus tools, DiffractMOD RCWA, and FullWAVE FDTD
