Description

Whether meeting an illumination metric or government-mandated regulation, all illumination systems have design specifications assessed by optical measurements. Being able to understand your system's ability to achieve these optical measurement specifications early in the development process can help you identify possible issues and rapidly evolve your design to meet all requirements as the design process continues.

Join this talk for a demonstration of the LightTools workflow that allows you to build a virtual prototype of your design, run illumination simulations, and analyze optical measurements at all stages of the design process.

In this talk, we will introduce you to various data analysis options available for LightTools meshes. You will learn about the following features:

  • Applying basic apertures and filtering
  • Analyzing multiple arbitrary sub regions, points, lines, and curves
  • Working with Airfield Lighting specifications
  • Working with Automotive Exterior Lighting specifications

Who Should Attend?

  • Optical engineers who want to learn more about simulations results and interactive optical measurements.
  • Managers who want to be able to check optical results.
