A Global Citizen

Our operations adhere to global labor, health, and safety policies and practices.

Synopsys maintains a workplace where all employees, customers, and suppliers are treated with dignity, fairness, and respect. We maintain worldwide policies applicable to all employees in furtherance of these principles. We pride ourselves on providing a healthy, safe, and productive work environment that is free from discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, marital status, military service, or any other status protected by law. We also make reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with disabilities consistent with applicable laws and regulations.

Synopsys follows local laws and regulations regarding labor and employment. We only use voluntary labor and uphold the worker right to freedom of association. We do not use child labor, or employ anybody under the age of 18. Synopsys will not exceed prevailing local work hours and will appropriately compensate any overtime hours worked.

Health & Safety

To ensure a healthy, safe, and secure work environment, Synopsys has worldwide policies and procedures in place. Synopsys maintains a global Code for Safe Practices as well as a global emergency response team, trained and prepared to deal with emergency situations. Our electronic eAlert system allows any employees to report security and safety concerns, anonymously. Synopsys Safety and Security department manages the workplace safety program, which identifies key risks, proactively addresses such risks through trainings, such as evacuation drills. Additional workplace safety policies and guidance ensure that our workplaces are in full compliance with local fire, OSHA, and/or other safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations.

In addition, we maintain a business continuity and disaster response plan. This business continuity plan is supported and approved annually by the Company Executive team as well as the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Training and regular drills are held to test processes and plans for the most likely events based upon risk vulnerability surveys. Outcomes are examined and need for improvements identified, assigned and tracked at least annually. Synopsys’ Internal Audit organization audits the program regularly and submits reports to senior executives and the audit committee.
