Multi-Vendor 112G SerDes Interoperability Between Synopsys, Xilinx and Luxshare

This OFC demo features Synopsys’ DesignWare 112G Ethernet IP long 
performance using Xilinx’s 112G FPGA and Luxshare’s channel, showing minimum bit error rate. The demo showcases the Synopsys adaptative receiver and transmitter capabilities such as equalization of any given channel, interoperability with third-party SerDes, auto negotiation and link training. 


Complete WDM Photonic IC design flow using the Synopsys PIC Platform for Tower PH18, including Juniper integrated lasers

Synopsys will demonstrate a complete schematic driven design flow, including simulation, DRC and LVS for a WDM chip using the Tower PH18 silicon photonics process and integrated lasers from Juniper.

DesignWare 112G SerDes IP Interoperating with Optical Components Across 2km Optical Channels

This OFC demo features Synopsys’ DesignWare 112G Ethernet IP directly driving optical components (using Macom’s laser driver, LASER, photo detector, transimpedance amplifiers) across 2km optical fiber cables and Samtec’s NovaRay interconnect. The IP equalizes electrical-optical-electrical (E-O-E) channels and minimizes bit-error rate.

E/O co-simulation of GlobalFoundries monolithic silicon photonics with OptSim and PrimeSim

Unlike electrical signals, optical signals are complex, have multiple states of polarization, support multiple wavelengths and transverse modes, thereby posing serious challenges to traditional electronic design automation tools and practices. This demo shows how Synopsys electro-optical (E/O) co-design flow simulate the behavior of a mix of electrical and photonic components in GF's monolithic silicon photonics process.
