Any CAD package that can import IGES or STEP (which is almost all CAD packages)

3. Are there different NURBS fitting methods?

Yes we have two different NURBS patch fitting methods, each is better suited to specific situations.

4. Can I control the amount of surface detail that is included in my model?

Yes, you can change the surface fitting, specific or adaptive tolerancing. You can also view the control points used to fit the patches and change these as required.
