The Synopsys ARC® MetaWare For Safety products have been certified for the development of software up to ASIL D by SGS-TüV, so customers require no additional tool qualification when using them according to the Safety Manual.
The Synopsys ARC MetaWare Development Toolkit for Safety supports the ARC EMxFS, ARC HS4xFS and ARC VPXxFS safety processors and enables developers to generate and debug highly efficient code for deeply embedded applications with an optimizing compiler, debugger and instruction set simulator. The MetaWare compiler toolchain is ASIL D certified and includes a safety manual and a safety guide to help developers meet the requirements of the ISO 26262 standard and prepare for compliance testing of their safety-critical systems.
To accelerate the development of ISO 26262-compliant code, Synopsys offers an ARC MetaWare EV Development Toolkit for Safety as a complete solution for developing, debugging, and optimizing embedded vision and AI applications for the EV7xFS processors. The toolkit supports development with C/C++ and OpenCL C programming languages and open standard environments, including OpenVX. A software development kit is also provided to map and optimize neural network graphs for the CNN engine. The compiler toolchain has been certified for the development of software up to ASIL D to ease the certification process. The accompanying safety documentation helps developers of safety-critical systems to fulfill the requirements of the ISO 26262 standard.
