Updates to the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct

On April 8, 2021, the Board of Directors of Synopsys amended and restated the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.  This amendment did not change the principles of the Code; rather the Code was revised to:

  • Increase emphasis on Synopsys’ commitment to diversity and inclusion.    
  • Describe our efforts towards environmental and community stewardship.   
  • Rebrand the Ethics Hotline as Synopsys’ Integrity Helpline and encourage employees to submit compliance questions and inquiries (not only reports). 
  • Incorporate learning aids to highlight important Synopsys values and potential compliance issues.

The above is only a summary of changes to the Code.  Please refer to the full text of the Code.

The updated Code has become effective in the U.S. and most other regions on April 30, 2021.  Some jurisdictions have a later effective date for the amended Code consistent with local law requirements and procedures.
