Synopsys employees collaborate to develop the advanced technologies that fuel electronic design innovation, demonstrating their passion, ingenuity, and creativity each and every day. Another attribute that can’t be overlooked? Dedication toward giving back to the communities in which we live and work.

During our 2023 Season of Service global volunteer program this past November, Synopsys employees around the world topped last year’s hours contributed.

Logging more than 3,500 hours through the month, employees embraced opportunities to volunteer in person at the company’s offices, in the field at nonprofit locations or project sites, as well as virtually.

Here's a snapshot of this year’s impact:

  • 3,500+ volunteer hours reported
  • 73 different projects
  • 20 participating countries
  • 43 office locations globally

In Porto, Portugal, employees planted and helped maintain native species of trees near Maia City Hall.

Under the Synopsys for Good program, employees participated in volunteer projects aligned with our three focus areas: preparing students for the future with STEM education, addressing essential needs and inequities in the community, and working to mitigate climate change.

A few examples: teams planted trees in Armenia; participated in a coastal cleanup in Shanghai, China; beautified a school in Chile; raised money and awareness of mental health in Northern Ireland; and assembled hygiene kits at Synopsys’ Sunnyvale U.S. headquarters. You can see a full list of volunteer projects here, and check out photographs of some of the activities below.

Through volunteering, financial donations, matching funds, in-kind items, and grants, Synopsys has been contributing to causes in our communities since 1992. It’s part of our commitment toward creating a Smart Future, one that is sustainable, just, and secure.
