For 30 years, the Silicon Valley design community has come together for one of the industry’s largest user conferences, the Synopsys Users Group (SNUG). SNUG events provide users of Synopsys tools and IP with an opportunity to share experiences, learn about Synopsys’ newest technology and future product direction, and network with experts and members of the local design engineering community.

SNUG On Demand features over 100 items of rich, technical content including user and tutorial presentation recordings, user papers and presentations, and Synopsys presentations. Visit the proceedings archive to search by title, company, and/or author.  A SolvNetPlus account is required.

A Special Message from Aart de Geus

While there won’t be a SNUG Silicon Valley this year due to measures necessitated by the global pandemic, Synopsys co-CEO Aart de Geus took time to reflect on 30 years of SNUG and discuss how Synopsys continues to drive state of the art in EDA, sharing information about recent product announcements – RTL ArchitectVC SpyGlass RTL Static Signoff platform, and DSO.ai – each featuring exciting new capabilities.

A Message from the Technical Chair

For 30 years, SNUG has been the proverbial watering hole, attracting the brightest minds who use technology and tools to fuel innovation while cultivating the spirit of community to amplify the impact of those innovations. The impressive content contributed by expert users had been carefully curated by the Technical Committee for several months. Authors worked tirelessly, incorporating feedback to ensure content quality. From this extensive collection of high quality papers, the Technical Committee employed a rigorous review process to select the best papers based on technical merit, novelty and overall presentation. The proceedings are now available and I encourage you to engage with the content, reach out to authors with questions and consider contributing to the next SNUG.

Despite social distancing and travel restrictions, I have never felt more connected and proud to be in high-tech. What we do is what allows us to work and learn from home and is what will help us overcome this global crisis. I hope that you are as inspired as I am by the resilience of our broader community and will use this time to pursue all challenges with renewed rigor and compassion. On behalf of the Technical Committee, thank you for being the essential ingredient that makes SNUG so special to us all.
