Youngkwon Cho is a Senior Staff engineer for Senataurus Calibration Workbench (SCW) at Synopsys. His focus is on developing machine learning-based calibrations and strategies for TCAD simulation. He holds a master's (2006) and Ph.D. (2012) degree in applied physics from Ajou University Graduate School in Korea, and he mainly researched optical simulation in complex nonlinear media. After that, he moved to SK Hynix (2014) and developed simulation optimization, QA tools for Memory and System IC products, etc. in SPICE, TCAD simulation group, and he also joined the CIS element development team (2018) to develop the optical structure of CMOS image sensor. After that, he moved to AI solution team and oversaw process optimization research and AI/ML tool development.
