Dipanjan Basu is a Principal Engineer at Synopsys, Inc. and a technology evangelist who is focused on improving the productivity of semiconductor manufacturing process through modeling and simulation. He has deep expertise in advanced transport methodologies and device transport physics and broad understanding of modeling challenges in the semiconductor manufacturing space. From his Master’s thesis in compact modeling to PhD thesis on full-band quantum transport simulator development, to applications of the carrier transport in advancing research and development for pathfinding for logic and memory devices, he has always been at the forefront of advanced modeling and technology development. At Synopsys, he leads applications focused on advanced transport modeling and strategies to improve technology development turn-around times through the efficient use of TCAD modeling and Design-Technology-Co-Optimization (DTCO) principles.
