Sriram Balasubramanian
Sriram Balasubramanian, Executive Director of R&D in the IP Group at Synopsys, has over 33 years of experience in the electronics industry, building connectivity IP for protocols such as ENET, USB 2.0/3.0, SD/eMMC, AMBA, MIPI-UFS, Wireless USB, and FireWire standards, as well as wireless system designs centered on GSM, WCDMA, and OFDM. His core competencies include complex design, architecture, multi-clock designs, high-speed designs, multi-power rails, formal verification, functional safety for automotive applications, and ISO 26262 compliance, including FMEDA/FMEA analysis. He has actively contributed to USB standards with a focus on HS-OTG and to compliance test standards for UFS as chairperson for the JEDEC Task Group. Sriram holds a U.S. patent for DFT/IDFT designs for Ultra-Wideband Systems.
