Deirdre Hanford
One of Synopsys’ first employees and eventual chief security officer, Deirdre had a remarkable impact in her tenure from 1987 to 2024. She was vital in driving industry awareness and enablement for secure design in EDA and IP. Dierdre earned a B.S. Eng (electrical engineering) from Brown University and an M.S.E.E. from UC Berkeley. In September 2022, she was appointed to the U.S. Department of Commerce’s CHIPS Industrial Advisory Committee.
