International Women’s Day and International Women’s Month celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements women have made. This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #BreakTheBias—Imagine a gender-equal world.

Despite the progress that has been made toward women’s rights, women still face a disproportionate number of challenges both at home and in the workforce. A study conducted by the UN in 2020 found that “90% of men and women hold some sort of bias against women.”

We spoke with two influential women in the tech field—Meera Rao, senior director of product management at Synopsys Software Integrity Group, and Anita D’Amico, vice president of products of Synopsys Software Integrity Group—about the challenges women face in today’s society and how we can #BreakTheBias by starting these conversations at home. They also share some advice for what women can do to set themselves up for success in the workforce. Watch the video above or click here to watch the International Women’s Day panel discussion.
