Diagnostic communication over Internet Protocol (DoIP) is the vehicle diagnostics protocol based on Ethernet. It facilitates communication between test equipment and the DoIP gateways and nodes within a vehicles electronic control unit (ECU). DoIP is defined by the ISO 13400 standard.
