Safe Coding for C and C++

Established in 1997, the Motor Industry Software Reliability Association (MISRA) created an initial set of guidelines around safe coding best practices when using the C programming language known as MISRA C 1998. The most recent version was released in 2012.

Any Industry Can Benefit

While it is not strictly a security coding standard, MISRA does provide safety benefits, so medical companies, without their own C coding standard, have started to adopt MISRA C 2012.
