Technical Webinar Series 2017

Posted on 18 January 2017 by Jessica James

This year we are running a Series of Technical Webinars on how to get the most out of Simpleware software. Although primarily aimed at existing Simpleware users, these webinars also provide an in-depth look at the tools available in the software.

We will start the series on February 8 & 9, 2017 with a webinar on the Scripting Features in ScanIP. This webinar will cover scripting in ScanIP to achieve better automation of repetitive tasks and show how ScanIP can be augmented for specific workflows with small scripts.

The ScanIP Tips & Tricks webinar, shown on March 1 & 2, 2017, will offer a detailed overview of the image processing and segmentation tools in Simpleware. Attend this webinar to learn about improving segmentation results, 3D editing, analysing data and speeding up everyday workflows in the software.

On March 22 & 23, 2017 we will be covering Advanced Meshing using the Simpleware +FE Module, including how to generate simulation-ready models, how to customize mesh element sizes, how to use per-part mesh coarseness and region-specific mesh refinement tools, and how to generally inspect and improve mesh quality.

Our +CAD Webinar on April 26 & 27, 2017 will highlight how to fully explore the +CAD module since it has been integrated into our core ScanIP package. Learn how to integrate CAD and image data, how to effectively work with CAD data, and example workflows.

Finally, on May 24 & 25, 2017 we will focus on our +NURBS Module, and how to generate high-quality, watertight NURBS models; this will include tips on patch fitting and preparing segmentation workflows for generating NURBS models.

All the webinars are free-to-attend, and can be watched live or downloaded after the broadcasts. There will also be opportunities to ask questions about the different applications being demonstrated.
