Technology Day at Sauber Engineering: Simulation Driving Innovation in Additive Manufacturing

Date: November 14, 2019 / 13:15 - 17:15
Location: Sauber Group, 8340 Hinwil, Switzerland
Fee: Free-to-attend. Pre-registration is required as places are limited.

* Event is held in German*

Sauber Engineering, Synopsys, and CADFEM are pleased to invite you to this free technology afternoon.

The efficient use of additive manufacturing requires a rethink in design. Additive manufacturing (AM) offers unprecedented levels of design freedom, however, these new freedoms also bring with them new risks: thermal distortion, residual stresses, imperfections due to gas inclusions or anisotropic material properties, and reduced strength must be taken into account. But how? During this technology afternoon, we will give you an insight into the application areas of simulation in additive manufacturing: from design through process optimization to quality assurance.

Who Should Attend

The event is aimed primarily at process and design engineers, users in the field of additive manufacturing, as well as design and development managers.
