Simulate a 3D Metalens with Synopsys Solutions

Join us for this webinar to learn how Synopsys tools support the design and simulation of full 3D metalenses. We will demonstrate an effective simulation approach for metalens design that combines multiple algorithms:

  • The use of rigorous FullWAVE (FDTD) and DiffractMOD (RCWA) algorithms to calculate the phase delay of various nano-cells
  • The use of BeamPROP (BPM) to efficiently trace the beam through the metalens or its Transfer Function Mask (TFM)

The 3D example in this presentation will illustrate how Synopsys’ multi-algorithm approach can reduce computational memory and simulation time. We also verify this approach using Synopsys’ CODE V Beam Synthesis Propagation feature and FullWAVE, and use this approach to predict the polarization dependence and dispersion of a metalens system, as well as simulate any meta surface in imaging systems.
