MetaOptic Designer

What is MetaOptic Designer? Metalenses–flat lens technologies–have the potential to revolutionize optical products. Synopsys is supporting this new world of innovation with MetaOptic Designer, an unprecedented inverse design tool that takes user-specified criteria and automatically generates metalenses for optimal design performance.

Want to learn more? View our tech talk MetaOptic Designer: A Fully Automated Tool for MetaLens/Metasurface with Inverse Design Capability on the Synopsys Learning Center.

Students or professors at a university with a network license of the RSoft Photonic Device Tools, please check with your site administrator about accessing MetaOptic Designer. Site administrators can download the latest RSoft Photonic Device Tools software and license file from SolvNetPlus to enable MetaOptic Designer for your site.

If you are a student with an individual RSoft student license, MetaOptic Designer is available in RSoft version 2022.09-1 and later. If you are interested in upgrading your RSoft version to use MetaOptic Designer, please contact osg_educ@synopsys.com

Smart Start Library

The SmartStart Library is an extensive, curated database of optical data for glass and plastic materials, and surface finishes that can be applied as optical properties in the latest versions of LightTools and LucidShape.

For those universities with donations of LightTools and LucidShape, the university site administrator can gain access to the SmartStart Library by downloading a new license key from SolvNetPlus.

Once the new license key has been installed, you will need to log into SolvNetPlus and download the SmartStart Library materials. For more information, first log into SolvNetPlus and then refer to these links:
