Cloud native EDA tools & pre-optimized hardware platforms
Welcome to a special issue of the Optical Solutions Enews for our university community. We have many exciting updates since our last communication in October!
We have consolidated access to our support resources to help you use Optical Solutions software more effectively. The majority of these resources will require a SolvNetPlus account.
Tip: You must be logged into SolvNetPlus to access SolvNetPlus article links. Once you log into SolvNetPlus, browse to the Optical and Photonic Solutions Support article, which provides centralized access to our resources. You can save the article for quick access during future visits to SolvNetPlus by clicking New in Saved Articles on the right side of the page.
The latest versions of LightTools and LucidShape contain the SmartStart Library, an extensive, curated database of optical data for glass and plastic materials and surface finishes that can be applied as optical properties in LightTools and LucidShape.
For those universities with donations of LightTools and LucidShape, the university contact can gain access to the SmartStart Library by downloading a new license key from SolvNetPlus.
Once the new license key has been installed, you will need to log into SolvNetPlus and download the SmartStart Library materials. For more information, refer to:
Have you heard about MetaOptic Designer? Metalenses – flat lens technologies – have the potential to revolutionize optical products. Synopsys is supporting this new world of innovation with MetaOptic Designer, an unprecedented inverse design tool that takes user-specified criteria and automatically generates metalenses for optimal design performance.
For those universities with donations of the RSoft Photonic Device tools, the university contact can gain access to MetaOptic Designer by downloading a new license key from SolvNetPlus.
