RSoft Photonic System Design Suite 2017.09 Service Release 1 (2017.09-1) Now Available

The RSoft™ Photonic System Design Suite (System Tools) 2017.09 Service Release 1 (2017.09-1) is now available and provides the following updates:

  • Usability improvements to the interface with the RSoft component design tools S-Matrix/PDK Generation Utility, including:
    • Automatic handling of component icon and ports placement
    • Icon rotation in schematic reflecting block rotation
    • Updated examples reflecting the usability improvements
  • Improvements to the Synopsys HSPICE® interface, including the ability to use electrical circuits as custom sources in OptSim™ Circuit
  • Inclusion of the American Institute for Manufacturing Integrated Photonics (AIM Photonics) Process Design Kit (PDK) version 2.0a
  • Documentation improvements
  • Other additions and improvements

Software and License File Instructions

North America Customers

Customers in North America will obtain RSoft software and license key files from Beacon Concepts. Please contact Barbara Calt of Beacon Concepts at bcalt@beaconconcepts.net to obtain your software and license key files.

 

International Customers

International customers will obtain RSoft software and license key files from their local RSoft software distributor. See the Synopsys Optical Solutions Group Global Contacts page for contact information. If your country is not listed on the Distributors page referenced above, please contact us at rsoft_support@synopsys.com for instructions.

RSoft Tech Support During the Holidays

From December 23, 2017 to January 1, 2018, RSoft products support will not be available.

Current customers can access RSoft product resources and content at any time on our Customer Support Portal (http://support.opticalres.com). Access training materials, user group presentations, sample system and application files, FAQs, macro downloads, recordings of previously held webinars, and more.

If you haven’t already registered for Portal access, consider registering for an account today! 

For qualified customers, it may take 1-2 business days for us to activate your account. Once your account is activated, an e-mail will be sent to you to confirm your login information. Please note that there will be a delayed response from December 22, 2017 to January 2, 2018.
