It assumes that attendees are familiar with optics concepts and terminology.

New 3D BSDF Macro

The Import 3D BSDF Macro provided with LucidShape CAA V5 Based creates BRDF and BSDF data from intensity distribution data. The macro creates rotationally symmetric 3D BSDF (reflective and refractive) data calculated from far field light data within a single light plane (no source azimuth rotation). This tool requires you to provide the necessary .IES (or .LID) data, and it performs all calculations necessary to convert the data to a LucidShape BSDF dataset. The dataset can be used in either a 3D BSDF Refractive or a 3D BSDF Reflective material.
