Applications such as 5G new radio, data centers, artificial intelligence, or automated driving assistance have fueled the development of such ASIPs, and have triggered many university projects. Processor design projects such as the RISC-V initiative at UC Berkeley also initiated a lot of interest in designing specialized, application-optimized processor architectures.
On June 26th, 2019, Synopsys, in cooperation with Moscow State University, will organize a free-of-charge seminar, starting from an introduction of the ASIP concept, and leading into latest case studies. Detailed insight into the capabilities of ASIP Designer, the world’s leading ASIP design tool, will be given. Lunch will be provided, and breaks will allow for time for networking among participants.
