Dear Synopsys Customer:

If you are using the Synopsys Proteus products on the IA-64 (IPF) platform, please read this letter carefully.

Synopsys announced the end-of-life for support of the IA-64 platform in June 2006,

Accordingly, the Synopsys Proteus product release Y-2006.09-SP3, scheduled for September 2007, will be the final shipping release that supports the IA-64 platform. Subsequent new releases will no longer support this platform. Older releases of the Synopsys Proteus product family will continue to support the IA-64 platform.

By providing you with this notice, we hope to help minimize your inconvenience in implementing this change. If you are affected by this change, Synopsys is available to assist you in the migration of your Synopsys products to another supported compute platform.

Please refer to the Proteus product family documentation for product specific information concerning compute platform support.
