Author's Kit Info

SNUG India 2024 will once again feature a presentation-only format. Reflecting SNUG’s commitment to technical excellence, all conference user submissions are peer reviewed by the SNUG Team. If your proposal is accepted, a SNUG Team member will work with you to help you create and deliver an exceptional conference presentation. SNUG India 2024 will be held on July 18, 2024 at a new location, the Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield.

SNUG Acceptance Criteria

The SNUG Team has implemented a two-step acceptance process:

  1. Preliminary acceptance is based on the initial submission proposal of your presentation description.
  2. Final acceptance and the assignment of presentation spots at the conference are determined after the first draft of the presentation is complete, reviewed and approved by the SNUG Team.

  • Technical Relevance: Is the topic meaningful to other designers?
  • Technical Applicability: Is the topic general enough to be helpful to other designers?
  • Technical Completeness: Is the topic explored completely? Does it provide enough detail on the approach taken to analyze and address the challenge?
  • Are the problems and solutions well described? Review lessons learned along the way (what was expected/unexpected, what went well/not so well).

  • Is the conclusion well substantiated? Why is your solution a good one? What can other designers take away and use in their work?
  • What are some ongoing areas of development or next steps that you (or a peer) could pursue?
  • General Readability: Is the presentation well organized? Is the presentation grammatically correct and spelled correctly?
  • Effective Summary of your effort and results.

Presenting at SNUG

SNUG presentation sessions are allotted a total of 30 minutes. We suggest authors plan on reserving the last 5-10 minutes for Q&A discussion with the audience.

Your SNUG presentation should be a “discussion” rather than a “reading” of the outline. While you should cover the same key points which appear in your outline and slide presentation, SNUG attendees will be most interested in hearing you describe your techniques, approach, and supported conclusions.

The SNUG team will communicate specific details and presentation times after final acceptances are made.

Templates

Note: There is no submission template to submit the initial content. Please visit the call for content page and click on “Submit Now” button and follow the instructions to submit your proposal. However, if you would like to share more information on the content, you can share it in any file format that will help reviewers to assess your submission and upload the same to the submission portal under “Attachment” section.

PPT template will be available post preliminary acceptance timeline.
