Internship FAQs

Who qualifies as an intern?

Undergraduate or graduate students (Master's or PhD) who are enrolled at least part-time at an accredited college or university are qualified to be hired at Synopsys. Typically, interns have achieved third year or junior status in an undergraduate program or equivalent before being considered.

A student may be required to provide proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university program upon request prior to employment. U.S. candidates currently on student visas (F-1, J, or Practical Training) are also encouraged to apply.

Where are internships located?

Internship opportunities are offered in many Synopsys offices worldwide. We have offices in regions such as North America, Europe, Asia-Pac, Japan, and South Asia.

What positions are available?

Students may find engineering opportunities in the areas of Application Security, Design Verification, Compiler Development, IC Design, FPGA/AMSG, Static Analysis, Machine Learning, Digital Design, and Full Stack Development. Our Infrastructure groups have opportunities in areas such as Information Technology, Enterprise Information Systems, Finance, Legal, Marketing or Human Resources. 

How long is an internship?

The duration of your internship will vary based on the location of the team and business need.
