I. LOC License.
An “LOC License” restricts the aggregate number of lines of code in the Code Base on which the Customer may use the Software. The Software cannot be used on code exceeding the number of lines of code licensed for use. More information about Coverity’s LOC License Policy can be found here.
II. Project License
A “Project License” restricts the Code Base on which the Customer may use the Software. The Software may only be used with code files that are part of the Code Base at the time of commencement of the License Term or that are created during the License Term for that Code Base. The Code Base may be referred to by its name and the number of lines of code that it contains at the start of the License Term.
III. Floating Node License.
A “Floating Node License” restricts the number of Computers that may access the Software at the same time for use with identified Code Bases. For each Floating Node License, the Software may be accessed by only one Computer at a time. For the purposes of this section, “Computer” means a single processor operating one operating system, each owned or controlled by Customer and located within the Territory. In a multi-core processor, each core is considered a single processor.
IV. Node-Locked License.
A “Node-Locked License” restricts the number of Designated Servers on which the Software may be installed and used. For each Node-Locked License, the Software may be installed only on one Designated Server, with the Designated Server executing the Software for only one Authorized User at a time. “Designated Server” means an Operating System on a named server computer, owned or controlled by Customer and located within the Territory, identified in writing by a host I.D. or other serial number and by the Operating System name, on which the Software is installed. “Operating System” means the operating system identified in the Documentation as being supported by Coverity.
V. Team License.
A “Team License” restricts use of the Software within a named development team. The team is licensed to access the Software based upon the total number of individuals in the team, and the Code Bases being developed by various members of the team. Once the team name, team size, and Code Bases are established, anyone within that team is authorized to access the Software during the License Term. If the team grows beyond its original size, additional license increments must be purchased to keep the entire team licensed. The size of the team must include all contractors that require access to the Software.
