Abstract:
Fabless designers are the bread-and-butter of the SoC ecosystem and will continue to be so in the future. However, rapidly evolving applications in mobility and the "Internet of Things" (IoT) have begun to impose many new challenges to the semiconductor ecosystem—specifically for enabling SoC differentiation and accelerated time-to-market. From server processors for cloud computing to advanced mobile SoCs, application-driven silicon requires an open ecosystem to enable better performance, lower power consumption, and more features to deliver an edge in the highly competitive technology industry.

In the nanometer era, there are many new challenges to manage the complexities of bringing a competitive SoC-enabled solution to market on advanced process technologies. Attend this breakfast panel to learn how GLOBALFOUNDRIES and Synopsys are collaborating to enable an open ecosystem, offering a full spectrum of support ranging from product definition and design to manufacturing and packaging, to deliver differentiated silicon solutions to fuel IoT and mobile growth.
