Establishing technology trust at Infosecurity Europe 2018

Infosecurity Europe is one of the leading information security events in Europe. The annual event, taking place this year from 5-7 June, brings together over 19,500 information security professionals, over 400 exhibitors showcasing the most cutting edge information security solutions, and thought leaders from around the globe.

This year, Synopsys technical evangelist, Tim Mackey (@TiminTech), will be presenting on ways to Establish Technology Trust in a Containerised World on 7 June (14:00-14:25). The talk will examine how trust models are a key component of secure deployment when deploying containerized applications at scale. To define a trust model, there must be a clear understanding of the risk factors that impact application development and the architecture of the containers and the orchestration solution.

Attendees will walk out of this talk with an understanding of:

  • How container applications are created and how container orchestration systems deploy containers
  • How patch management models differ in a container model from a server or virtual machine
  • How to address continuous security monitoring without requiring agents within containers
  • How to to shorten the response time from external threat disclosure to impact assessment within the data centre
