Synopsys launched a corporate-level initiative in early 2008 to address the multicore compute needs of design and manufacturing customers. The increasing complexity of design, verification, and manufacturing challenges related to deeper submicron processes is driving exponential growth in compute processing needs. The mainstream availability and use of compute servers with multicore processors allows Synopsys to now broadly take advantage of higher levels of throughput, and ultimately deliver faster time-to-results.
