GDS-II, CIF, & Applicon Output Option
|
Another very popular CATS option is the Stream Output option, which supports the conversion of any data CATS can read out to GDS-II, CIF, or Applicon format. Using this feature, many customers take advantage of CATS' ultra-fast sizing and Boolean processing and then convert the flattened data back to design format for last minute editing or DRC.
This option supports the conversion of multiple flat files to different layers of a single design file, or the conversion of an internal format library file to a single design file. This means that E-beam or inspection files may be converted to GDS-II, just as easily as CIF data could be converted to GDS-II or Applicon.
Remapping of layers during the conversion process is supported as is the arbitrary offset of flat files.
