Overview
OCP is a common standard IP core interface, or socket, that facilitates .plug-and-play. systems-on-chip (SoC) design.
The OCP VIP enables the verification of master and slave devices in OCP systems and cores and provides 100% functional coverage as defined in section 4 of the OCP-IP 2.0/2.1 Compliance Checks document.
DesignWare VIP for OCP is the OCP-International Partnership (OCP-IP) endorsed verification IP solution.
It has been tested jointly with Sonics for interoperability with the Sonics SMART Interconnect solutions for implementation of SoC.

The DesignWare Library and VCS Verification Library today include VIP for AMBA® 2.0, AMBA 3, PCI Express®, USB, Serial ATA, Ethernet, I2C, serial I/O and Memories. The addition of OCP to the portfolio enables the verification of OCP cores, OCP systems, mixed OCP/AMBA systems, and OCP systems with external interfaces. The OCP VIP is compliant with the popular VMM methodology defined in the Verification Methodology Manual for SystemVerilog, enabling easy integration with constrained-random, coverage-driven environments; it also supports Verilog and VHDL testbenches. The OCP VIP supports all popular simulators and enables up to five times faster verification when used with the VCS® comprehensive functional verification solution.
