Synopsys Launches Open Community Website
The Synopsys Open Community website, SynopsysOC.org, is a new, interactive web resource that is open to the entire electronic design community. The site is the first truly open EDA forum that allows anyone to participate in discussions and post comments.
SynopsysOC.org is a place where designers, Synopsys R&D engineers, Synopsys partners, and other EDA companies can discuss and share ideas on the latest chip development trends, challenges and solutions. Initially focusing on low power and verification, we will expand the content in line with hot technology topics as they evolve.
SynopsysOC features several blogs, including "The Standards Game," written by Karen Bartleson, director of Interoperability and University Programs. She explains, "SynopsysOC is our exciting entrance into the world of new media. Contemporary and persuasive, it provides a dynamic channel to communicate with our customers and each other. My blog, 'The Standards Game,' will contain news, opinions and fun from the often-controversial standards arena." Other bloggers include Product Marketing Manager, Mike Demler, who covers analog mixed-signal issues, and Applications Consultant, Godwin Maben, whose blog, "Magic Blue Smoke," discusses the challenges of low power ASIC design.
In addition to blogs, the site features white papers, case studies, videos and an "Ask the Expert" section where users can submit questions that will be answered by technical experts. SynopsysOC is intended to be a resource where professionals can share opinions and solutions.
We invite you to visit the site regularly and participate in the community. It's going to be a dynamic, evolving site. Check out the site at www.synopsysoc.org.
