The DesignWare® ARC™ Audio Dolby Digital® 5.1 Decoder for the DesignWare ARC AS211SFX and AS221BD audio processors enables SoC designers to provide playback of up to 5.1 (multi-) channel digital surround audio in their designs. Dolby Digital includes up to five full-range audio channels (left, center, right, left surround, right surround), plus a supplemental Low-Frequency-Effects (LFE) channel (indicated by the '.1' in 5.1). Dolby Digital is one of the mandatory decoders for Blu-ray Disc™. Applications include digital TV, set top boxes, media players, home theater systems and Blu-ray Disc.
