Terms and Conditions
Please review the following terms and conditions before continuing.
Synopsys, Inc. or Synopsys International Limited
(hereinafter "Synopsys") will provide you with
Education Services only on the condition that
you accept, and comply with the terms and conditions
in this agreement.
By checking "I accept" at time of registration,
you agree to be bound by the following terms
and conditions. If you do not agree to any
of the following terms and conditions, you may
not participate in the Education Services.
Please read the following terms and conditions
carefully. (Captions are provided for convenience
only, and should not be construed as part of
this agreement.)
Terms
and Conditions
1.0 Registration Policy
1.1 You take full responsibility for any costs
associated with your participation in the Education
Services, including tuition fees, travel expenses
and room and board expenses.
1.2 For Public Workshops:
Payment is required prior to the first day of
instruction. Proof of payment is required at
the time of registration.
1.3 For online learning
classes: Payment is required at the
time of registration and cannot be refunded
after you start the workshop.
2.0 Cancellation Policy
2.1 Public Workshops:
Cancellation notices must be received by Synopsys
at least ten (10) working days prior to the
workshop start-date. If you cancel less than
ten (10) working days prior to the start of
the workshop, you are liable for and may be
billed for the full cost of the class. To cancel
your registration, please send an email notification
that includes your name, the class name and
date to: ces_registrar@synopsys.com.
2.2 Synopsys reserves the right to cancel any
Public Workshop up to ten (10) working days
prior to the start-date of the workshop. Please
keep this cancellation policy in mind if you
are considering non-refundable airline tickets.
Synopsys will not be responsible for travel,
lodging, or any other expenses you may incur.
2.3 Online Workshops:
You may cancel an online workshop at any time
prior to starting the workshop. To cancel your
registration, please send an email notification
that includes your name, the class name and
date to: ces_registrar@synopsys.com.
3.0 Confirmation Policy
3.1 A confirmation notice will be emailed to
you upon receipt of your registration and payment
information. Please bring a copy of your confirmation
letter with you to class. It is your responsibility
to make sure you have submitted payment prior
to the class start-date, and that you have received
a confirmation letter from Synopsys Customer
Education Services prior to arriving at a Synopsys
education/training center.
3.2 Online Learning
Classes: You will receive two (2)
confirmation emails:
(a) An acknowledgement to let you know your
registration has been received and is being
processed.
(b) A confirmation that your registration has
been approved and payment confirmed. This email
will include the workshop URL with login and
password details.
4.0 Payment Policy
4.1 You may pay under a purchase order, by check,
by credit card, or using Synopsys Education
Credits, as further specified below.
4.2 Purchase Order:
Fax a copy of your purchase order along with
a copy of your registration form to 650-584-1767.
4.3 Checks:
Make checks payable to Synopsys, Inc. and fax
along with a copy of your registration form

You must fax a copy of your check along with your
registration form to 650-584-1767 to complete
your registration. It is your responsibility to
ensure that your check request is faxed to register
for a workshop:
4.4 Credit Card: Synopsys accepts VISA,
American Express, Master Card. Credit cards will
be charged at the time of registration. Customer
will be responsible for all credit card processing
and currency conversion fees associated with the
use of a credit card to purchase training. These
charges will not be refunded in the event of class
cancellation.
4.5 Education Credits: Classes can also
be paid for using Education Credits, with one
credit the equivalent of one class day OR one
module for online learning workshops.
6.0 OTHER TERMS
6.1 You agree to use reasonable care to prevent
any unauthorized use, disclosure, publication,
or dissemination of Synopsys Confidential Information
to any third party, but in no event shall you
use less than the same degree of care that you
use to protect your own confidential and proprietary
information of similar importance. You will not
use Synopsys Confidential Information for purposes
other than those necessary to directly further
the purposes of the education Services. You will
not disclose to third parties Synopsys Confidential
Information without the prior written consent
of Synopsys.
6.2 For the purpose of this agreement, Synopsys
Confidential Information means (i) any Synopsys
software product, in object and source code form,
and any related technology, idea,algorithm,or
information combined therein, and any trade secrets
related to any of the foregoing; (ii) SOLV-NET!;
(iii) Synopsys product plans, costs, prices and
names; non-published financial information; marketing
plans; business opportunities; personnel; research;
development or know-how;(iv) any information designated
by Synopsys as confidential in writing or, if
disclosed orally, designated as confidential in
writing within (30) days; provided, however that
"Synopsys Confidential Information" will not include
information that; (a) is or becomes generally
known or available by publication commercial use
or otherwise through no fault of yours; (b) is
known and has been reduced to tangible form by
you at the time of disclosure and is not subject
to restriction; (c) you independently developed
Synopsys Confidential Information; (d) you lawfully
obtained from a third party who has the right
to make such disclosure; and (e) is released for
publication by Synopsys in writing.
6.3 The laws of California shall govern this agreement.
These terms and conditions constitute the entire
agreement between the parties with respect to
the Education Services, and supersedes all prior
agreements or representations, oral or written,
regarding Education Services.
