PrimeTime Special Interest Group (SIG) at SNUG Japan 2013

The Synopsys PrimeTime SIG is an active community for all PrimeTime users and design engineers who want to stay connected with the latest developments in the field of Static Timing Analysis (STA).

PrimeTime SIG at SNUG Japan 2013
A PrimeTime SIG event, Advanced ECO Methodology, was held in Tokyo, Japan, during SNUG on July 12, 2013.

PrimeTime users and managers from top semiconductor companies attended the event. Presenters from RenesasEL and Synopsys, along with panelists from Panasonic and Toshiba shared their experiences with PrimeTime Advanced ECO technologies.

Presentations are available for download from SolvNet.

Speakers

Yutaka Seshimo
RenesasEL
Yutaka, an engineering manager in the Renesas Back-End Design Technology Development Department, provided insight into the growing design closure challenges in Renesas designs. He highlighted how PrimeTime ECO reduced the design iterations in their design flow, and how the latest PrimeTime leakage recovery reduces leakage power without affecting signoff timing. He also discussed how physically-aware ECO can improve the timing convergence of signoff-driven ECO.

Tzong-Maw Tsai
Synopsys
Tzong-maw, Director CAE, PrimeTime, reviewed Advanced ECO Methodology for faster design closure.
