PrimeTime Special Interest Group (SIG) at India SNUG 2011 

 

The Synopsys PrimeTime SIG is an active community for all PrimeTime users and design engineers who want to stay connected with the latest developments in the field of Static Timing Analysis (STA).

PrimeTime SIG at India SNUG 2011
A PrimeTime SIG event was held in Bangalore, India during SNUG on Thursday, June 23, 2011. Two hundred and seventeen PrimeTime users and managers attended the event from more than thirty-nine semiconductor companies. The theme of this SIG was Next-generation ECO Guidance Technology.

Speakers

Rituparna Mandal
Senior Manager, Foundation IP, Texas Instruments India Pvt. Ltd.
Rituparna was the session chair for the India SIG 2011 event. She introduced the topic and the speakers of the evening and moderated the Q&A panel.


Venkat Gangineni
Principal Engineer – Design Methodology, LSI
Venkat highlighted LSI's collaboration on deploying Next-Gen ECO with its super fast setup fixing results on multiple designs. He mentioned this would be the solution of choice for their future designs.


Abhijeet Shrivastava
Lead ASIC design engineer. STMicroelectronics
Abhijeet focused on hold fixing on a highly congested design and how Next-Gen ECO was able to cut down the TAT from 2 days to a few hrs.


Venkataraman Srinivasagam
Technical Lead Engineer, Cisco Systems, Inc.
Venkat presented hold fixing ECO results on a multi-voltage design. He shared how he was able to achieve 98+% fix rate with 25% less ECO changes on a multi-scenario run within a couple of hours.


Patrick Fortner
Senior R&D Manager, PrimeTime, Synopsys
Patrick dived into the revolutionary Next-Gen ECO guidance solution, explained the innovative architecture and its big impact on timing convergence.




Manjunath Haritsa, Director of Applications Consulting, India, kicked off the event and introduced the session chair.
