The Synopsys Compute Platforms Roadmap gives customers a look ahead at Synopsys' compute platforms support plans for hardware architectures and operating systems. Not all Synopsys products are released on all platforms listed in this Roadmap. The Synopsys Release Library at https://solvnet.synopsys.com/DownloadCenter/dc/product.jsp, is the best source of information on product/platform availability.
Information contained in this page reflects Synopsys' plans as of the date of this presentation. Such plans are subject to completion and are subject to change. Products may be offered and purchased only pursuant to an authorized quote and purchase order. Synopsys is not obligated to develop the software with the features and functionality discussed in the materials.

* Review these recommendations before making your hardware and operating systems plans. Synopsys Synchronized Release Model (SRM) - The Synopsys Synchronized Release Model consists of:
- A common foundation of operating systems, compilers and tools that is set every 9 months
- Quarterly product release opportunities - 3 per foundation, 4 per year
- Product updates and feature releases can be made with any release opportunity
A foundation can change every 9 months. Mature operating systems, such as Solaris, can be expected to remain static for many foundations. Newer operating systems, such as Linux, may change with every foundation to keep up with market demand and vendor releases. Synopsys typically builds on a single operating system baseline version for each SRM Foundation.
The following table shows foundations and corresponding release opportunities:
| Foundation | Release Opportunity |
