Intel Developer Forum 2013

See DesignWare SuperSpeed USB 3.0 IP, M-PCIe Controller, and MIPI M-PHY in Action

For over a decade, the Intel Developer Forum (IDF) has been Intel's premier conference, helping to shape the direction of tomorrow's technology. IDF brings together people from every part of the technology world to experience visionary keynotes, technology and industry insights, and technical sessions (including lectures, interactive panels, hands-on labs and Q&As). In addition, the Technology Showcase hosts exhibits and demonstrations from Intel and leading technology companies.

Synopsys will showcase its latest developments in DesignWare® IP for USB and PCI Express® in the SuperSpeed USB and General Communities.

Dates: September 10-12, 2013

Where: Moscone Center West, 800 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94103

Technology Showcase Hours:
Tuesday, September 10, 11:00pm-7:00pm
Wednesday, September 11, 11:00am-1:00pm & 4:00pm-7:00pm
Thursday, September 12, 11:00am-2:00pm
Synopsys Highlights at IDF

General Community
Synopsys Booth 213

  • DesignWare IP for M-PCIe DMA Performance
The new M-PCIe ECN was designed to support the needs of very low-power PCI Express devices while maintaining the benefits of the PCI Express protocol. The DesignWare Controller IP for M-PCIe leverages the market-leading DesignWare Controller IP for PCIe 3.0 to provide designers with a full implementation of the M-PCIe ECN. Using a DMA engine allows applications to move multiple threads of data simultaneously and the DMA engine of the DesignWare IP for M-PCIe offloads SoC resources and maximizes the bandwidth of systems incorporating M-PCIe. This demonstration showcases the DesignWare IP for M-PCIe, the DesignWare MIPI Gear3 M-PHY and the ability of the DMA engine to efficiently allocate bandwidth across multiple channels.

SuperSpeed USB Community

  • Synopsys USB 3.0 SSIC Operating with MIPI M-PHY IP
Synopsys will demonstrate the SuperSpeed InterChip USB 3.0 Protocol running with MIPI M-PHYs between a USB 3.0 Host and USB 3.0 Device. Both high performance and compliance testing will be shown.

  • Industry's First Complete USB 3.0 IP Solution to Achieve USB-IF Certification
Synopsys will demonstrate the silicon-proven high-performance DesignWare USB 3.0 Host and Device Controllers operating with DesignWare USB 3.0 PHY test chips, which are fabricated in the latest advanced process geometries.
