The Synopsys DesignWare® Audio Analog Codec IP is a silicon-proven library of audio components that meets a wide range of system requirements. The Audio Analog Codec IP delivers the performance, power, and area required by today’s mobile multimedia and digital home SoCs.
Based on 24-bit sigma-delta data converters, the Audio Analog Codec IP offers a range of optional features and functionality including integrated line and headset drivers, microphone bias, pop noise suppression, and a low drop regulator. Additional features such as asynchronous sample rate conversion, programmable wind and notch filters, and support for up to 7.1 audio, are also available in advanced technology nodes.
The DesignWare Audio Analog Codec IP solution can be easily configured as a full codec, record channel only, or playback channel, depending on the application requirements. The Basic, Advanced, and Premium audio analog conversion features offer design flexibility while reducing a system’s overall silicon area.
With more than 15 years of delivering proven audio analog IP products, Synopsys offers a comprehensive portfolio of Audio Analog Codec IP that is thoroughly tested in silicon, has shipped in over 100 million ICs, and supports a wide range of foundry process technologies from 180-nm to 28-nm, enabling designers to reduce integration risk and time-to-market.
