Synopsys’ 2013 Worldwide SNUG Overview
Since 1991, SNUG (the Synopsys Users Group) has represented a global design community focused on accelerating innovation. Today, as the electronics industry’s largest user conference, SNUG brings together nearly 9,000 Synopsys tool and technology users across North America, Europe, Asia and Japan. In this video discussion about the global SNUG program, Dave Reda, senior director, Global Technical Services, Synopsys, welcomes Jonah Probell, senior solutions architect, Arteris, as the new technical chair for SNUG Silicon Valley 2013 and they discuss what attendees can expect to see during this year’s SNUG program.
About the Speakers
Dave Reda is a Senior Director in the Global Technical Services Group with Synopsys. At Synopsys, Dave has over 12 years of experience collaborating with some of the top Semiconductor, Mobile, Networking and Computing companies on their EDA support needs. Prior to joining Synopsys, Dave worked at Motorola for 17 years, and held varying positions in Hardware Design, ASIC Design, Software Design, and Sales, as he worked in both the Equipment and Semiconductor sectors for Motorola. Dave received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Computer Engineering from Boston University.
Jonah Probell is a Senior Solutions Architect with Arteris, the network-on-chip IP company. For 14 years, he has worked on microprocessor and digital video IP designs at Lexra, Ultra Data, ARC, and Tensilica. Jonah supports chip design teams in all aspects of their projects including IP integration, synthesis, physical design, verification, prototyping, and system-level modeling.
