System Design

Synopsys Innovation UpdateEmbedded Vision Development System
At the heart of all embedded vision systems is the fundamental need to process video data. Video processing can be extremely computationally demanding, often involving tens of billions of operations per second. Synopsys’ Embedded Vision Development System (EVDS) enables design teams to rapidly develop application-specific processors tailored to the power and performance needs of embedded vision applications. EVDS incorporates the Synopsys Processor Designer™ toolset, HAPS® FPGA-based prototyping system, pre-designed embedded vision processor examples and pre-verified design methodologies.

VDK for Renesas RH850 MCU
Virtualizer Development Kits (VDKs) are software development kits containing design-specific virtual prototypes as well as debug and analysis tools and sample software. VDKs have no dependency on the RTL design enabling software development to occur much earlier in the design cycle, up to 12 months before hardware availability. The VDK for Renesas RH850 MCU, is a software development kit using reference virtual prototypes of Renesas RH850 microcontroller family, embedded software development tools, integration with 3rd party source code debuggers and simulation tools, sample code and scripts supporting a broad range of use cases, documentation of development flows and tutorials.

VDK for Freescale Qorivva MCU

FineSim is a high-performance circuit simulator with built-in full SPICE and FastSPICE simulation engines. FineSim's unique multi-core/multi-machine simulation capability allows users to drastically improve simulation performance and capacity. FineSim is well-suited for simulation of large, complex analog circuits, as well as DRAM/SRAM/Flash memory design.

DesignWare IP

Synopsys Innovation UpdateDesignWare® ARC® EM Starter Kit
The DesignWare ARC EM Starter Kit is a low-cost, versatile solution enabling rapid software development, code porting, software debugging, and system analysis for ARC EM4 and EM6 processors, which can be used for application and product prototyping. The ARC EM Starter Kit consists of a hardware platform, including pre-installed FPGA images of two ARC EM4 and two ARC EM6 configurations with peripherals, and a software package. The software package includes the MQX real-time operating system (RTOS) in binary format, peripheral drivers, and application code examples. Custom code development is made easy using the MetaWare Development Toolkit. The ARC EM Starter Kit is available for purchase today.

IC Compiler is the place and route choice for today’s advanced designs at the emerging process nodes (20/16/14 nm) and at the established process nodes. Synopsys Innovation UpdateYield Explorer®
Yield Explorer brings yield relevant data from diverse sources, such as physical design flow, wafer manufacturing, and wafer and chip-level testing, into a single data bank allowing product and test engineering teams to rapidly diagnose yield and performance issues. Version H-2012.12-SP2-2 is now available and can be downloaded through your SolvNet account.
