HAPSVirtualizer™
The Virtualizer toolset is an integral part of the Synopsys comprehensive solution for early software development, hardware-software integration, and system validation. Virtualizer addresses the increasing development challenges associated with software-rich semiconductor and electronic products by increasing developer productivity while improving product quality and ultimately accelerating time to market using virtual prototypes.

Verification
VerificationVCS®
Industry leaders of today’s most advanced SoCs rely on the Synopsys VCS functional verification solution to develop their high-quality designs. The latest version VCS 2012.09 combines performance and capacity, complemented by a complete collection of advanced methodology-aware testbench and constraint debug features, as well as bug-finding, coverage, planning and assertion technologies. VCS with Native Low Power simulation and UPF support, delivers innovative, unique, and high-performance voltage-aware verification techniques to find bugs in modern low-power designs with integrated low-power debug capabilities.

Synopsys Verification IP for NVMe
The Synopsys Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) VIP is designed to help thoroughly verify NVMe designs using both random and directed simulation. The NVMe verification IP (VIP) adds an application interface to the Synopsys PCI Express VIP. The VIP is implemented to be verification methodology neutral, and can be integrated with and controlled by any hardware verification language such as SystemVerilog (including UVM), C/C++ and Verilog. It runs on all popular simulators.

VIP-Central.org is the first industry-wide, technical community site focused on providing system-on-chip (SoC) verification engineers and users of verification IP (VIP) a centralized online resource of relevant forums and blogs about verification of industry-standard protocols. VIP-Central.org is the premier site for the latest technical information and discussions on the use of verification IP and advanced verification methodologies to verify protocol-based IP as well as IP integration, SoC sub-systems and full SoCs.

DesignWare IP
DesignWare IPDesignWare® IP
Synopsys’ silicon-proven 28-nanometer (nm) DesignWare IP portfolio consists of widely-used IP, including PHYs for USB, PCI Express, SATA, HDMI, DDR, MIPI, data converters, audio codecs, embedded memories and logic libraries. DesignWare IP offers solutions that can be quickly integrated into a range of system-on-chip (SoC) applications including mobile applications processors, multimedia graphics networking and storage with less risk and effort. Recently, Synopsys announced the 100th design win of its DesignWare IP optimized for 28nm processes for multiple leading foundries.

DesignWare® ARC™ Secure
Synopsys’ DesignWare® ARC™600 Family of 32-bit RISC processor cores are optimized for embedded applications and DSP tasks where high performance and low-power consumption is required. The ARC Secure option for the ARC 600 Family of processor cores enables SoC suppliers to implement their own encryption and decryption algorithms before loading them into memory. This allows the processors to run encrypted code by fetching encrypted instructions and decrypting them on-the-fly when needed with as little as 2% area, power and performance impact.

NanoTimeNanoTime®
NanoTime is an advanced transistor-level static timing analysis solution that addresses the emerging challenges in signal integrity (SI) analysis associated with custom designs and embedded memories. NanoTime offers concurrent timing and SI analysis, accuracy within ± five percent of HSPICE®, and has the performance required to analyze complex transistor circuits and embedded memories overnight.

LightToolsLightTools®
As part of Synopsys’ Optical Design products, LightTools delivers tools that support virtual prototyping, simulation, optimization, and photorealistic renderings of illumination applications. These capabilities enable users to more easily explore design alternatives, study light behavior, and improve product quality early in the design process. With LightTools version 7.3, a variety of new illumination design features in areas such as application-specific design, color quality analysis, LED phosphor modeling, and design management and performance will help designers work more efficiently, save product development costs and deliver high-performance lighting systems.
