On February 25, at 15:00, a meeting with Armen Gevorgyan, Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Minister of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia and members of the Winners’ Club of Presidential Educational Award, as well as students specializing at microelectronic circuits at State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA) took place at Synopsys Armenia R&D Center. Synopsys Armenia Director Hovik Musayelyan, General Manager of VivaCell-MTS Ralph Yirikian, President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia Arsen Ghazaryan, Member of the Council of the Chamber of Control of the Republic of Armenia Lilit Gevorgyan, Director of Unicomp Armen Baldryan and other honorary guests attended the meeting.

The Chairman of the Presidential Educational Award Committee Hovik Musayelyan opened the meeting by briefly presenting Armen Gevorgyan’s path, “Today’s meeting with Armen Gevorgyan is very symbolic, because we have worked together with Mr. Gevorgyan to bring the Annual Educational Award of the President of the Republic of Armenia in IT Sphere to fruition in 2005. The meeting is also important because, as we all know, there are many challenges, issues and concerns, and our homeland starts with bordering villages, districts, regions and then only reaches to Yerevan.”

"I was able to discover a simple truth after my five year experience, working as a Minister of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia. The flavor of Armenia exists in our regions. Every foreigner, every diasporan come to know Armenia through our apricot, our cognac, our ancient monasteries. It’s not a secret that all of this was created, developed and still exists in our regions. Therefore, I believe that all of us, including the students and Winners Club members are responsible for making sure that flavor brings satisfaction not only to outsiders but also to local population. I hope that we will have serious achievements through introducing and developing IT in the regions through your knowledge and skills, which I believe will also guarantee the growth of development in those locations," said Armen Gevorgyan addressing Winners’ Club members and top students in the IT sphere.

As always, the meeting was followed by a Q&A session. Traditionally, the speaker was presented with the Honorary Member Award and the Winners’ Club member emblem.

“These meetings are unique master classes on how to reach success and to gain small and big victories, each of which is a unique act of patriotism. Regardless of background, the profession sphere and age of our guests, it all starts and ends with a love for the homeland, the appreciation for civil responsibility and the inspiration, that is passed on the others,” says Ani Harutyunyan, the president of the Winners club.

For more than two years the Winners’ Club hosts regular meetings with distinguished individuals not only in the IT sphere but also in all spheres of social, economic, and political life. This was the 16th meeting in the traditional event series.
