Synopsys and Armenian State Youth Orchestra Sign Memorandum of Understanding

On June 1, Synopsys Armenia and Armenian State Youth Orchestra (chief conductor Sergey Smbatyan) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Synopsys Armenia's main lobby. By signing this MOU the parties agreed about joint fulfillment of events.

The document was signed by CEO of Synopsys Armenia, Rich Goldman and head of "Classical Music support" NGO-Anna Ter-Hovakimyan. "Engineering and music are related and they are both about harmony. At Synopsys we highly appreciate good music and even our CEO Aart de Geus is an accomplished blues guitarist. This collaboration is natural", said Rich Goldman. "This MOU signing is another demonstration of Synopsys Armenia fulfilling our corporate values as a good corporate citizen, and intends to widely disseminate cultural wealth in the community,"-said Executive Director of Synopsys Armenia, Hovik Musayelyan.

"This is a very important event, as it is the first cooperation between IT and classical music," noted Anna Ter-Hovakimyan. After the signing, the Armenian State Youth Orchestra gave a performance. The same day the Synopsys Armenia organized an exhibition and sale of artworks of the Kharberd specialized orphanage children's for the second time. First time the charitable exhibition-sale was organized last December, and during his visit to Synopsys Armenia RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan got acquainted with it.
