Annual International Microelectronics Olympiad of Armenia 

AMO
Synopsys Armenia is the general organizer of the annual Armenian Microelectronics Olympiad, reflecting the growing development of microelectronics design in Armenia. The competition spotlights Armenia’s brightest and most talented young engineers under the age of 30.
Goals of the Armenian Microelectronics Olympiad:
  • Stimulate further development of microelectronics in Armenia and in the participant countries
  • Recognize and inspire young, talented engineers
  • Increase interest in microelectronics among young specialists
  • Understand the level of knowledge in the field of microelectronics among young specialists in participating countries in order to make necessary adjustments to educational programs
  • Create a community of young specialists involved in microelectronics
The topics of the Olympiad:
  • Digital IC Design and Testing
  • Analog and Mixed Signal IC Design and Testing
  • Semiconductor Devices and Technology
  • Mathematical and Algorithmic Issues of EDA

All participants of the Armenian Microelectronics Olympiad receive participation certificates.

The Seventh Annual International Microelectronics Olympiad of Armenia will be held in September‑ October, 2012. MORE

 

6th AMO
The Sixth Annual International Microelectronics Olympiad of Armenia took place in September-October 2011. Taking place as part of Synopsys Week in Armenia 2011, this year's competition reflected the diversity of participants from eleven countries. MORE

 

5th AMO
The Fifth Annual International Microelectronics Olympiad of Armenia took place in October 2010. This year’s competition reflected the region’s diversity by including participants from Russia, Ukraine, Jordan, Bulgaria and Serbia. MORE

 

4th AMO
The Fourth Annual Armenian Microelectronics Olympiad took place in September 2009. It extended its borders for the first time to include participants from Russia and Ukraine. MORE

 

3rd AMO
On September 18 2008, in the R&D center of Synopsys Armenia CJSC, the Third Armenian Microelectronics Olympiad took place. MORE

 

2nd AMO
On September 26, 2007 in the newly opened building of Synopsys Armenia CJSC, the opening ceremony of the Second Armenian Microelectronics Olympiad took place. MORE
