The integration of Open Virtual Platforms processor models with the Synopsys Innovator tools provides customers with an expanded set of IP with which to build virtual platforms. Moreover, the native TLM-2.0 interface in the instruction accurate OVP models ensures that users will have the fastest possible simulation performance, as is required for software development on the virtual platform.

Product Description
Open Virtual Platforms (OVP) is a simulation environment and infrastructure for the development of embedded software. It includes fast simulation (OVPsim), free open source models, and is easy to use. OVPsim is an instruction accurate simulator that enables software to run on the virtual platform at hundreds of million instructions per second.

Interoperability Description and Customer Benefit
The Imperas OVP Simulator (OVPsim) allows the fast execution of processor models made available on the Open Virtual Platform webpage at www.ovpworld.org. Using the combined Synopsys/Imperas solution OVP processor models can be easily used in virtual platforms created with Synopsys Innovator. The interface will be established using SystemC TLM-2.0 APIs.
